Associate Professor at Keio University's Faculty of Environment and Information Studies. Holds a Ph.D. in Human and Environmental Studies from Kyoto University. Former JSPS Researcher at the University of Tokyo and Harvard, with additional research at the University of Toronto. Previously a Lecturer at Keio University.

Graduated with an LL.M. from Santa Clara University School of Law. After positions at Panasonic and a major patent firm, joined TMI Law Firm in 2013.
